COVID-19 Return to Play

Subject to change based on Authority Directives

Cambridge Youth Soccer, in consultation with the Government of Ontario, Ontario Public Health, Ontario Soccer, Canada Soccer, City of Cambridge, and Waterloo Region, continues to monitor the most recent developments surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the resulting public health crisis, and the impact on CYS' Return to Play Plan.

West Region: District Associations of Elgin Middlesex, Essex County, Lambton Kent and South-West Soccer

Cambridge Youth Soccer is a member of South-West Soccer. Therefore, we are in the West Region of Ontario Soccer Phase 2.

ComDev Indoor Soccer Park – Covid Facility Rules

  • Maximum capacity 50 persons at any time
  • All individuals in facility aged 12+ must provide proof of vaccination
  • Everyone must wear a mask upon entering and exiting the facility
  • Participants are not required to wear masks
  • Spectators are not permitted
  • Washrooms are for emergency use only
  • All user groups must provide contact tracing for participants
  • Maintain physical distancing of 2m upon entry and exit of facility
  • If you are feeling ill, please do not enter the facility

Return to Play Guidelines

The decision to Return to Play for Cambridge Youth Soccer (CYS) OPDL requires permission from all relevant authorities:

Movement through Phases

It is important to note:

  • CYS will only move to the next phase of the Return to Play Plan once all relevant authorities give permission.
  • There is the possibility to move back a phase(s) should one or more of the relevant authorities withdraw approval of opening.
